When it comes to telling your company’s story as part of your marketing strategy, longer is better.
As we create brand journalism content for our clients to use in their online marketing, one of the things that happens naturally is our articles tend to fall into the 800 to 1,500 word range. The reason, obviously, is because we’re telling compelling stories and that’s about the length those stories need to be.
Another thing that happens naturally – if you’re writing content centered around your company and what your company does – is that your long format writing is helping your rankings in search engines.
So we encourage the companies we consult with to make sure they are rotating some long format content onto their websites. It’s compelling and it helps improve (or maintain) your search results.
